Tag banned from school?
Wow!
The schools ban tag because it is a "touching" game? They did this because they are afraid they will be sued if some one gets hurt.
Fear only breeds more fear.
Maybe if we had Judges that had enough sense and backbone to throw out these frivolous cases America could be America once again.
But no we're afraid.
Tag you'r it.

Wildfires expose artifacts
DESCANSO, Calif. - An oak tree was still burning nearby when Margaret Hangan made her way across a wildfire-scorched landscape and spotted to her delight a set of flat-topped granite boulders that served as kitchen counters in an ancient village 2,000 years ago.
Here are some interesting finds mentioned in the article.
Fires are a double-edged sword," said Richard Fitzgerald, an archaeologist for California state parks. "They can be very destructive, but after a big fire you can find new sites, even in areas that have been surveyed before."
Crews found an abandoned gold mining camp and an adobe homestead from the 1800s.
After a smaller fire there in June, they discovered a cave with rock art and a site with unusual beads made from freshwater shells.
Most finds are small, rock flakes left behind by hunters sharpening arrowheads, or piles of rich brown earth, called midden, that remain from prehistoric kitchen scraps.
In rare instances, fires unveil large structures. Archaeologists discovered fortress-like stone walls after a 2003 fire ravaged Cuyamaca State Park northeast of San Diego.
Reminds me of when I was younger and Dads neighbor would burn off the pasture next to us. My brothers and I would don our rubber boots and search the area to see what was left behind.
Never found an Indian village though we mostly found snakes, chipmunks, balls and rockets we had lost in the tall grass.
I can remember thinking how it must be like the surface of the moon, ash grey and barren.

Treasures looted 'back in the Holy Land'
A COLLECTION of sacred artefacts looted by the Romans from the Temple of Jerusalem and long suspected of being hidden in the vaults of the Vatican are actually in the Holy Land, according to a British archaeologist.
These were stolen in 70 A.D. when Rome attacked Jerusalem and is chronicled in stone in the "Arch of Titus" pictured above.
I think this is quite interesting that as we draw nearer the end Gods things and people are making or have made their way back to Jerusalem.

A Pale Blue Dot
On October 13, 1994, the famous astronomer Carl Sagan was delivering a public lecture at his own university of Cornell. During that lecture, he presented this photo: The photo above was taken by Voyager 1 in 1990 as it sailed away from Earth, more than 4 billion miles in the distance.
This page goes on and gives us Carl Sagan speech.
When the picture was taken I and my entire family is in the photograph (see me waving?) along with the rest of the worlds population. Cool thought.
It is a pretty interesting speech but it ends with a wrong and sad conclusion.
This is what came to my mind. Psalms 8
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all [things] under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, [and whatsoever] passeth through the paths of the seas. O LORD our Lord, how excellent [is] thy name in all the earth!

Who has controlled the Middle East over the course of history? Pretty much everyone. Egyptians, Turks, Jews, Romans, Arabs, Greeks, Persians, Europeans...the list goes on. Who will control the Middle East today? That is a much bigger question.
Wouldn't recommend any of the links or banners on this site but the animated map is interesting.

New Cave Found
A Giant Crystal-Filled Cave was Discovered in California by amateur cavers.
September 26, 2006—Four amateur explorers have discovered a giant, crystal-filled cave in California's Sequoia National Park that scientists are hailing as a major find.
I have always dreamed of finding something like this in my back yard.
It seems I have passed it on to my kids as well.
My boys have told me of their crawling head first into every little hole that they find in the woods. So I give them the stern warning about being careful and then grin really big.
It seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree after all.
And as we walk they share that their dream cave they will find is also filled with ancient treasures just as mine have always been.
I wish it would have been me but finds like this still keep my hope alive.
Well done cavers and good for you!

3.3 million-year-old girl fossil
"The new bones belong to a three year old girl who lived 3.3 million years ago -- 150,000 years before Lucy,"
Here is an interesting comment.
"Evidence indicates that she probably died in a flood from the nearby Awash river,"
Hmmm Noah's flood perhaps?
They always say how old these bones are and that they are the oldest ever but I would say the ones they find in coal or rock would be older. If the bones they find in coal/rock are fake (which some argue) what about man made objects found there?
I think they don't mention these because they are clearly human or man made and that messes up their "only found in text books" strata layers/time table.
The article ends with another curious statement.
"On the shores of what was formerly a lake in 1967, two Homo sapiens skulls dating back 195,000 years were unearthed. The find pushed back the known date of mankind, suggesting that modern man and his older precursor existed side by side."
In other words Man and ape have always lived side by side one did not evolve one from the other,

False Christ
Jesus warned us that in the last days false Christ's would come, here is a (video) link to one of them.
He violates so many warnings in the bible.
One of the big ones this clip reminds me of is 1-John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
And of course Jesus warned us in Matthew 24: 23-26----"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before.
Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not.

Living Fossil
The first pictures showing a live specimen of a rodent species once thought to have been extinct for 11 million years have been taken by a retired Florida State University professor and a Thai wildlife biologist.
The "living fossil," looks like a small squirrel or tree shrew.
Scientists have nicknamed it the Laotian rock rat. The creature is not really a rat but a member of a rodent family once known only from fossils.
Another "living fossil" found.

Pyramid Found in Europe
VISOKO, Bosnia-Herzegovina - Researchers in Bosnia on Wednesday unearthed the first solid evidence that an ancient pyramid lies hidden beneath a massive hill — a series of geometrically cut stone slabs that could form part of the structure's sloping surface.
Researchers believe the structure itself is a colossal 220 meters (722 feet) high, or a third taller than Egypt's Great Pyramid of Giza.
Earlier research on the hill, known as Visocica, found that it has perfectly shaped, 45-degree slopes pointing toward the cardinal points, and a flat top. Under layers of dirt, workers discovered a paved entrance plateau, entrances to tunnels and large stone blocks.
They believe other pyramids are nearby and that they are connected by the tunnels.
Interesting find and I look forward to when they have all uncovered.

Scientist Wants to Kill 90% of The Population
Pianka is his name and he began by laying out his concerns about how human overpopulation is ruining the Earth. He presented a doomsday scenario in which he claimed that the sharp increase in human population since the beginning of the industrial age is devastating the planet. He warned that quick steps must be taken to restore the planet before it's too late.
“We're no better than bacteria!”
Professor Pianka said the Earth as we know it will not survive without drastic measures. Then, and without presenting any data to justify this number, he asserted that the only feasible solution to saving the Earth is to reduce the population to 10 percent of the present number.
He explained. That, disease offered the most efficient and fastest way to kill the billions that must soon die if the population crisis is to be solved.
His favorite candidate for eliminating 90 percent of the world's population is airborne Ebola ( Ebola Reston ), because it is both highly lethal and it kills in days, instead of years.
When Pianka finished his remarks, the audience applauded. It wasn't merely a smattering of polite clapping that audiences diplomatically reserve for poor or boring speakers. It was a loud, vigorous and enthusiastic applause.
“You know, the bird flu's good, too.” They laughed again when he proposed, with a discernable note of glee in his voice that, “We need to sterilize everybody on the Earth, Smarter people have fewer kids.”
After noting that the audience did not represent the general population, a questioner asked, "What kind of reception have you received as you have presented these ideas to other audiences that are not representative of us?"
Pianka replied, "I speak to the converted!"
With this, the questioning was over. Immediately almost every scientist, professor and college student present stood to their feet and vigorously applauded the man who had enthusiastically endorsed the elimination of 90 percent of the human population. Some even cheered. Dozens then mobbed the professor at the lectern to extend greetings and ask questions.
I think if he and his followers are genuine and sincere in their beliefs then they should set the example, volunteer, go first.
But no they think it should be everyone else but them.
Where is our homeland security on this one?
This sounds like a terrorist threat to me.

A Total Solar Eclipse
When the moon passes in front of the sun and blocks it completely—it is a total eclipse.
To see a total solar eclipse, you have to be in just the right spot on the earth.
When you look up in the sky at the sun and the moon, you notice a strange coincidence—both look the same size in the sky.
Now, they're not really the same size.
The sun's diameter is actually 400 times the moon's diameter. But, you must also take into account that the sun is also 400 times further away from the earth, reducing its apparent size to the same as the moon's.
It is thought that Earth is the only planet in the universe that this would occur.
Because we can view total eclipses we can study the Sun's corona and other things that we otherwise would not be able to.
Hmmm...it is like it designed that way.

Atheists Day
With the approach of the atheists national holiday I thought you might find these figures interesting.
Here in America Christians have to fight to hold on to every right that our country was founded on.
The facts listed on this link are staggering, 3-9% of our population are atheists or agnostics.
How do they get such a large voice in policies and restrict our freedoms when 91% or higher belive in God?
Because the majority (believers in God) do or say nothing.
We say nothing, do nothing and care little until it is to late.
It is a shame. James sums up Jesus words when he says "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."Jam 1:22
We are hearers and not doers.

Brooklyn Bridge Houses Cold War Supplies

It is pretty neat to find something that you hid and forgot you did.
I think they will find it was hidden there for some elite people or some city official hid it for themselves or surly they would have known it was there.
Was it in a secret room or just one nobody went in?

Dinosaurs Don't Have Feathers
Evolutionists found a dinosaur that they thought should have feathers.
Their thinking is that the dinosaurs became birds and flew away (see Jurassic Park).
The biggest and heaviest animals became some of the smallest a light weight animals! Good theory.
Anyway here are some of their excuses for this dinosaur not having any feathers.
"There are a number of possible explanations for Juravenator's nakedness. Feathers could have been lost on the evolutionary line leading to Juravenator after arising in an ancestor to both it and its feathered relatives.
It is also possible that this particular fossil of Juravenator, which appears to be a juvenile, only grew feathers as an adult or lost its feathers for part of the year.
It is entirely possible that Juravenator did have feathers, but they simply failed to fossilize.
Whether or not the new specimen raises interesting questions about how feathers -- and thus birds -- evolved, most experts do not see it as a challenge to the widely accepted view that modern birds are descended from dinosaurs."
I know maybe dinosaurs didn't become birds, birds are a different kind than dinosaurs (four footed beasts).
They start out with the faulty presumptions that we all come from a rock that was rained on for millions of years and have to have common ancestor.
Well once again evolution is startlingly let down by the fossil record.

Hairy Lobster Found
"A team of American-led divers has discovered a new crustacean in the South Pacific that resembles a lobster and is covered with what looks like silky, blond fur.
Scientists said the animal, which they named Kiwa hirsuta, was so distinct from other species that they created a new family and genus for it.
The divers found the animal in waters 7,540 feet deep at a site 900 miles south of Easter Island last year."
I love that we are still finding new things.

"The amount they had sent in was much larger than their normal monthly payment. And if the increase hits a certain percentage higher than that normal payment, Homeland Security has to be notified. And the money doesn't move until the threat alert is lifted."

Real Evolution?
"TUCUMCARI, N.M. -- This photo provided by rancher Shane Jennings shows a 5-legged, 6-hooved calf. The calf, a Limousin heifer owned by Orlando Romero of Sapello, N.M., was delivered naturally and is in otherwise good physical condition. (05/19/05 AP Photo/Shane Jennings)"
Is this evolution?
An extra leg, isn't this what evolutionists are looking for?
Do you think this cow runs faster than other cows making it harder for the rancher to catch and sell, evolving?
No, we call this sort of thing a deformity. Notice my above quote says "and is in otherwise good physical condition", implying this extra leg and hoof is more likely a detriment to it than a help.
Evolution is looking for new information to be added. The information for a leg and hoof are already in its DNA it just made extra, no new information just mixed up information.

Evolution?
"He's fat, ugly and poisonous -- and he's mutating. He's the cane toad (Bufo marinus), a species which was introduced into the Australian state of Queensland 70 years ago to tackle insect pests in canefields and has since become an ecological catastrophe."
Apparently the first frogs to reach the town of Darwin have longer legs than the slower ones.
"The case is being seen as a classic example of Darwinian evolution -- animals that are stronger, faster or smarter are able to stake out new territory and defend it against those that are weaker, slower or less astute."
"The reason: with longer legs, the mutating species is able to travel further, faster."
This is not evolution its micro evolution also know as change within a species.
Evolutionist are always citing changes within a species (micro evolution) as evolution or macro evolution.
Its the old bait and switch tactic. Cite a variance or change within a species as evolution so we will swallow the lie the frogs become birds.
It can have longer legs, jump farther, turn its eyes blue, and get super webs between its toes all of which are variances of what it has always had.
When it grows wings and begins to fly - Some "new information" thats darwinian evolution.
A frog with longer legs is still a frog. Thats not evolution.

Life After Death
Here are ten reasons to believe in life after death.
I think the first argument they list is one of the strongest evidences there is. The injustices of life.
Our heart tells us there must be more, and here is what I mean.
Did the September 11th terrorists, Columbine shooters, and Hitler escape judgment and get away with it?
Everything sensible within you says no.
And if these wouldn't have killed themselves and stood trial could we have punished them enough for killing so many?
No, we know and unconsciously hope for a future judgment. Life after death.

Earliest Christian Church Discovered
-- The New York Times reported Nov. 7 that prisoners digging foundations for the expansion of Megiddo Prison north of Jerusalem in the Valley of Armageddon uncovered ruins of what might be the earliest Christian church discovered in the Holy Land.
Intricate mosaics dating to the third century A.D. bear inscriptions in Greek. The Israel Antiquities Authority has preliminarily rendered the translation of one inscription as reading, “The God-loving Aketous has offered this table to the God Jesus Christ, as a memorial.”
This is evidence that Jesus as God, is no legend that evolved over long periods of time. There is no time for it to happen. This dates back to when people where alive who saw Jesus and could have refuted this claim of Jesus being God but they didn't.
Follow the evidence to where it leads.
